In The End, The Church Wins

Without a doubt, we live in a world filled with chaos and confusion that affects us on a personal, national and international level. Due to the fact the news media skews the truth to fit their opinions and agendas; it is very difficult to separate fact from fiction. This has led people who live on the edge to further develop their unrealistic conspiracy theories. People who live a more “centered life” are not exempt from troubled thinking as many of them are filled with fear based upon what they know and uncertainty coming out of what they do not know.

In the end, the body of Christ wins. Jesus said, “The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. Are you a member of the body of Christ? If so, that promise is for you! What is the key to living above the spirit of antichrist that has invaded our world? I John 5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – OUR FAITH!!!!!!”

Too often we find ourselves asking God to increase our faith. Or we may feel like giving up because we lack faith. We somehow believe that having more faith would help us to overcome our fear and believe God at His Word. This kind of thinking is an indication that the object of our faith is wrong, making the object of our faith OUR OWN FAITH! The victory is not found in having faith in our own faith, but in having faith IN GOD.

This is not a time of despair for the church; rather it is time for the church to take Jesus at His Word when He said, “the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church.” Keep this in mind and it will help you live in reality – Jesus did not say “the gates of hell will not COME AGAINST the church”. He did say, “The gates of hell will not PREVAIL AGAINST the church.”

Keep in mind that the church is not an institution or a building, it is the people of God saved by grace through Jesus Christ who is the ultimate Lord over all……..
